Well, at noon or so I finished my first 2L week of classes was finished. Yes, that means I have no classes on Fridays. It was a happy accident, but my finals schedule is somewhat unpleasant, so I do pay in the end.
Anyway, overall impressions are extremely favorable. I actually like all my classes, even such things as Civil Procedure and Administrative Law. It looks like the CivPro topics, for example, will be far more fascinating than last year. We are about to start on class actions. Fun! Maybe having legal-type work all summer sort of helped me get some perspective. Maybe it's being away from the topics for a while. Whatever it is, I hope I'm able to maintain my current levels of enthusiasm in the face of more time in class. I know that my case note will be a lot of work (even if I don't manage to get it published), so maybe class work will end up being a respite.
Of course, I'm showing myself to be the big geek that I am, but I think I'm really going to enjoy this semester.

It is my belief that people who like both admin and civ pro are kept very deep in the geek forest. Almost as deep as the dark center with the LARPers, and clearly farther than those who do historical reenactments. This, my friend, means you should seek counceling.
That's excellent. By the end of my first week, I was now openly able to admit that I do, in fact, hate law school.
