Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Two years and three months or so after the last time I was sick, I came down with a nasty cold. It started on Saturday, moving over the course of the day from an odd sneeze here and there to full-blown plague. Sunday and yesterday both were miserable with my head about to explode and my body aching all over. Happily, things are much better today, and my head seems to be the only issue. That’s a lot better to live with—I can make do with some ibuprofen and call it good.
Now that I’ve been reminded how unpleasant it is to be sick, I think I’ll wait another two years or so for the next one.
